Custom Suiting Policy

CUSTOM SUITING POLICY & TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective Date: May 2018

At Mannzilo, we specialise in bespoke and made-to-measure garments individually crafted to each client’s unique measurements, posture, styling preferences, and fabric selections. Due to the personalised nature of our services, the following policy governs all custom suiting orders.

By proceeding with a custom suiting order, paying a deposit, or approving fabrics/designs, the client acknowledges and accepts the following terms and conditions.

1. BESPOKE & MADE-TO-MEASURE GARMENTS

At Mannzilo, all bespoke and made-to-measure garments are individually custom-made specifically for each client and are fundamentally different from mass-produced or off-the-rack retail clothing.

Every garment is handcrafted through a personalised tailoring process that considers the client’s:

  • Individual body measurements
  • Body posture and structural analysis
  • Shoulder balance and body symmetry
  • Fit preferences and comfort requirements
  • Fabric selection
  • Styling selections
  • Garment structure preferences
  • Design customisations
  • Monograms and personalised details
  • Lining, button, stitching, and trim selections
  • Intended use of the garment
  • Tailoring and finishing preferences

Each garment is uniquely produced according to the client’s approved specifications and personal requirements. Due to the handcrafted and customised nature of bespoke tailoring:

  • No two garments are identical
  • Garments are not standard retail products
  • Each order involves substantial manual craftsmanship and tailoring labour
  • Patterns may be individually created or modified specifically for the client

Fabric cutting and garment construction are personalised to the client’s body profile and styling choices

Clients acknowledge and agree that bespoke tailoring is a specialised service involving human craftsmanship, technical tailoring expertise, and individual hand-finishing techniques. As such:

  • Minor variations in stitching, drape, alignment, texture, and finishing may naturally occur
  • Fabric characteristics may behave differently depending on garment structure and body shape

The final garment may vary slightly from showroom samples, mannequins, photographs, or digital representations

Tailoring outcomes involve both objective craftsmanship standards and subjective personal preference

Clients further acknowledge that:

  • Bespoke garments cannot generally be re-sold due to their personalised nature

Significant costs are incurred in fabric sourcing, cutting, tailoring, fittings, labour, and production once an order is confirmed

Production may commence immediately after approval of fabrics, measurements, or design specifications

  • Alterations and refinements may form part of the normal bespoke process

Where clients request changes after approval or commencement of production, additional charges and revised timeframes may apply.

Due to the highly customised nature of bespoke and made-to-measure garments:

  • Change-of-mind cancellations are not accepted once production has commenced

Refunds are generally not available where tailoring work, fabric sourcing, or production has already begun

Additional fittings or reasonable alterations do not constitute defective workmanship or major failure under the Australian Consumer Law

Clients acknowledge that bespoke tailoring is a collaborative process between the client and tailor and that achieving the desired final result may require multiple consultations, fittings, refinements, and tailoring adjustments.

By proceeding with a bespoke or made-to-measure order, the client acknowledges and accepts the personalised, handcrafted, and non-standard nature of the garments and services provided by Mannzilo.

2.CONSULTATION & MEASUREMENT PROCESS

At Mannzilo, bespoke tailoring is a collaborative and highly personalised process designed to achieve the best possible fit, comfort, structure, and appearance for each individual client.

Unlike standard retail garments, bespoke and made-to-measure garments require detailed consultations, body analysis, fittings, and tailoring refinements throughout the production process. Clients acknowledge that achieving an optimal bespoke fit is a progressive process and may require multiple appointments and garment adjustments.

Clients may be required to attend:

  • Initial consultation appointment
  • Styling and fabric selection consultation
  • Measurement appointment
  • Pattern and posture assessment
  • First fitting appointment
  • Additional fitting appointments where required
  • Alteration and refinement fittings
  • Final fitting and collection appointment

During the consultation and measurement process, Mannzilo may assess:

  • Body posture and stance
  • Shoulder balance and slope
  • Body symmetry variations
  • Weight distribution
  • Chest and waist structure
  • Arm positioning and sleeve pitch
  • Trouser break and leg balance
  • Personal fit preferences
  • Intended garment use and styling requirements

Clients acknowledge that bespoke tailoring is not an instant or one-step process and that garments often evolve through multiple stages of refinement.

Additional fittings or tailoring adjustments may be required due to:

  • Body posture changes
  • Weight fluctuations or body composition changes
  • Fitness or muscle changes
  • Fabric behaviour and natural settling after construction
  • Client comfort preferences
  • Styling preference changes
  • Tailoring refinements identified during fittings
  • Structural balancing adjustments
  • Changes requested after production commencement
  • Complex garment construction requirements
  • Wedding or group order coordination

Mannzilo generally recommends a minimum of 2–4 fittings for optimal tailoring results, though some garments or body types may require additional appointments.

Clients acknowledge and agree that:

  • Multiple fittings do not indicate defective workmanship
  • Tailoring refinements are a normal and expected part of the bespoke process
  • Minor adjustments may be required even after collection
  • Tailoring outcomes involve both technical craftsmanship and subjective personal preference

Clients are responsible for:

  • Attending scheduled appointments on time
  • Wearing appropriate footwear and undergarments during fittings
  • Communicating concerns promptly during the fitting process
  • Reviewing garment fit carefully before approving alterations or collection

Failure to attend scheduled appointments, repeated rescheduling, late attendance, or failure to provide timely feedback may:

  • Delay garment completion timelines
  • Affect production scheduling
  • Result in additional alteration appointments
  • Impact the ability to meet requested event dates

Where clients fail to attend fittings within reasonable timeframes, Mannzilo reserves the right to pause production until the client becomes available.

Mannzilo is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Client unavailability
  • Missed appointments
  • Delayed approvals
  • Last-minute design changes
  • Weight fluctuations after measurements
  • Event dates booked without sufficient production lead time

Clients are strongly encouraged to begin the bespoke process well in advance of weddings, corporate events, travel, ceremonies, and special occasions to allow adequate time for proper tailoring, fittings, and refinements.

By proceeding with the bespoke process, the client acknowledges and accepts that the consultation, measurement, and fitting process is an essential component of achieving a properly tailored custom garment.

3. PRODUCTION TIMEFRAMES

At Mannzilo, all bespoke and made-to-measure garments are individually handcrafted and produced specifically for each client. Unlike mass-produced retail garments, bespoke tailoring involves detailed consultations, pattern creation, fabric sourcing, cutting, construction, fittings, refinements, and hand-finishing processes which require substantial time and skilled workmanship.

Standard estimated production timeframes are approximately:

  • 6–8 weeks for standard bespoke or made-to-measure suits
  • Longer for wedding parties, group orders, formalwear packages, or multiple-garment orders
  • Extended timeframes during peak wedding seasons, festive periods, promotional periods, or public holidays
  • Additional time for specialty fabrics, imported materials, handmade finishes, custom embroidery, monograms, structural tailoring, or complex design requests

Clients acknowledge and agree that all production timeframes provided by Mannzilo are estimates only and are not guaranteed completion dates unless expressly confirmed in writing by authorised management.

Production and delivery schedules may be affected by numerous factors outside Mannzilo’s direct control, including but not limited to:

  • Overseas fabric mill production schedules
  • Supplier shortages or discontinued fabrics
  • International freight or customs delays
  • Import/export processing delays
  • Fabric quality control issues
  • Tailoring workload and production scheduling
  • Public holidays in Australia or overseas manufacturing regions
  • Staff illness or unforeseen operational disruptions
  • Additional fittings or tailoring refinements
  • Client-requested changes after production commencement
  • Delayed approvals by the client
  • Missed, rescheduled, or late fitting appointments
  • Alteration requirements identified during fittings
  • Natural events, pandemics, transport interruptions, industrial action, or other force majeure events beyond reasonable control

Where a client advises that garments are required for a specific event, wedding, business engagement, travel date, ceremony, photoshoot, or function, Mannzilo will make reasonable commercial efforts to prioritise and accommodate the requested timeframe where possible. However:

  • Requested event dates do not constitute guaranteed delivery dates
  • Estimated completion dates may change during the tailoring process
  • Additional fittings or refinements may extend completion timelines
  • Rushing garments may compromise tailoring quality and craftsmanship standards

Clients are strongly encouraged to allow adequate lead time when ordering bespoke garments, particularly for weddings and major events.

Mannzilo shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from production or delivery delays, including but not limited to:

  • Missed events or functions
  • Travel or accommodation expenses
  • Loss of business opportunities
  • Replacement garment costs
  • Emotional distress or inconvenience
  • Consequential financial loss

Where delays occur, Mannzilo will make reasonable efforts to communicate updated progress and continue working toward completion of the garment to an appropriate tailoring standard.

By proceeding with a bespoke order, the client acknowledges and accepts that tailoring timelines are inherently variable due to the handcrafted and personalised nature of bespoke garment production.

4. FABRIC SELECTIONS & CUSTOMISATION

At Mannzilo, clients are offered access to a wide range of premium fabrics, linings, trims, and bespoke customisation options sourced from local and international mills and suppliers.

As part of the bespoke tailoring process, clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all fabric and design selections prior to production commencement.

Clients acknowledge and agree that:

Fabric colours, shades, and tones may appear differently under natural light, indoor lighting, flash photography, or digital screens

Fabric swatches, sample books, showroom garments, online photographs, and digital images are intended as guides only and may not perfectly represent the final garment

Natural fibres and luxury fabrics may contain slight irregularities, texture variations, slubs, weave inconsistencies, or tonal variations which are considered normal characteristics of premium textiles and not defects

Fabric texture, drape, softness, stiffness, stretch, weight, and movement may change once the garment is constructed and worn on the body

Certain fabrics may crease, stretch, soften, or settle differently over time depending on wear, climate, body shape, and garment structure

Patterns, checks, stripes, and fabric alignment may vary slightly due to the handmade cutting and tailoring process

Exact matching of fabric colour or pattern placement across multiple garments or future orders cannot always be guaranteed

Buttons, linings, trims, stitching, monograms, embroidery, and finishing details may appear slightly different from samples, mock-ups, or digital previews

Clients further acknowledge that bespoke garments are highly personalised and manufactured according to individual approvals and specifications selected during the consultation process, including but not limited to:

  • Fabric selections
  • Lining selections
  • Buttons and trims
  • Lapel styles
  • Pocket designs
  • Stitching details
  • Monograms and embroidery
  • Jacket construction
  • Trouser style preferences
  • Vest configurations
  • Garment fit preferences
  • Structural tailoring options

Once any fabrics, linings, trims, monograms, buttons, or custom design details are approved by the client and production has commenced:

  • Changes may not be possible
  • Additional charges may apply
  • Production timelines may be extended
  • Re-patterning or re-manufacturing costs may be incurred
  • Previously ordered materials may become non-refundable

Where clients request changes after approval or during production, Mannzilo reserves the right to:

  • Charge additional tailoring or labour fees
  • Charge for replacement fabrics or materials
  • Revise estimated completion dates
  • Decline substantial redesign requests where production is already advanced

Clients acknowledge that custom fabrics may be specially ordered from local or overseas suppliers specifically for their garment and may not be returnable, exchangeable, or reusable by Mannzilo.

Mannzilo is not responsible for:

  • Supplier discontinuation of fabrics
  • Minor dye lot variations
  • Fabric availability changes
  • Mill production inconsistencies
  • Delays caused by overseas fabric suppliers or freight providers

Client dissatisfaction arising from subjective colour perception or texture preference after approval

Clients are strongly encouraged to carefully review all selections before providing final approval.

By approving fabrics and customisation details, the client confirms acceptance of the selected materials, design specifications, and the inherent characteristics associated with bespoke garment production and premium tailoring fabrics.

FITTING & ALTERATIONS POLICY

At Mannzilo, all bespoke and made-to-measure garments are individually handcrafted and tailored specifically to the client’s body measurements, posture, styling preferences, and approved specifications.

Due to the personalised and handcrafted nature of bespoke tailoring, clients acknowledge and accept that:

  • Initial fittings may require further refinement or adjustment

Multiple fittings and alterations are a normal and expected part of the bespoke tailoring process

  • Tailoring refinements do not indicate faulty workmanship or manufacturing defects

Final fit outcomes may involve subjective personal preference as well as technical tailoring standards

Mannzilo may provide reasonable alterations and tailoring refinements where necessary to achieve the intended fit, balance, comfort, and appearance of the garment.

Alteration work may include, but is not limited to:

  • Sleeve adjustments
  • Jacket suppression adjustments
  • Trouser hemming
  • Waist adjustments
  • Seat and leg refinements
  • Shoulder balancing
  • Tapering adjustments
  • Structural refinements
  • Comfort-based fit refinements

Complimentary alterations may be offered by Mannzilo at its sole discretion within a reasonable timeframe following garment collection where adjustments are considered part of the normal bespoke refinement process.

Clients acknowledge that complimentary alterations:

  • Are not guaranteed indefinitely
  • Are assessed on a case-by-case basis
  • Are intended to address reasonable tailoring refinements only
  • Do not apply to significant redesign requests or major specification changes

Additional alteration charges may apply where:

  • The client’s body measurements change
  • Weight gain or weight loss occurs
  • Muscle development or body composition changes occur
  • The client’s posture changes after measurements
  • Alterations are requested long after collection
  • The garment has already been worn extensively
  • Style or fit preferences change after approval
  • Additional customisations are requested after production
  • The client requests a substantially different fit from the original approved fit
  • Excessive, repeated, or unreasonable alteration requests are made
  • Garments have been altered, cleaned, damaged, or modified by third parties
  • Fabric limitations restrict the extent of possible alterations
  • The garment requires reconstruction beyond normal tailoring adjustments

Clients acknowledge that certain tailoring adjustments may not always be technically possible depending on:

  • Fabric allowances
  • Garment construction
  • Structural limitations
  • Original design specifications
  • Fabric integrity
  • Previous alterations performed

Where garments are altered or handled by third parties without Mannzilo’s written approval:

  • Any further complimentary alterations may be refused
  • Any workmanship guarantee may be voided
  • Mannzilo accepts no responsibility for third-party workmanship or resulting damage

Clients are responsible for:

  • Promptly notifying Mannzilo of any fit concerns
  • Attending scheduled alteration appointments
  • Carefully reviewing garments during fittings and collection
  • Wearing appropriate footwear and garments during fittings

Failure to attend fittings or promptly communicate concerns may impact the ability to complete further alterations within requested timeframes.

Mannzilo reserves the right to determine whether requested alterations are:

  • Reasonable tailoring refinements
  • Additional customisation requests
  • Change-of-mind adjustments
  • Work outside the original agreed garment specifications

Where additional tailoring labour, reconstruction, or material costs are required, clients may be provided with a separate quotation for further alteration work.

Minor tailoring refinements, comfort adjustments, and post-collection alterations do not constitute a major failure under the Australian Consumer Law and are considered part of the normal bespoke tailoring process.

By proceeding with a bespoke or made-to-measure order, the client acknowledges and accepts the alteration and fitting process outlined in this policy.

6 COLLECTION OF GARMENTS

Clients are responsible for attending the final fitting and collection appointment to inspect their garments prior to taking possession.

At the time of collection, clients are expected to:

  • Carefully inspect the garment(s)
  • Try on the garment(s) where requested by Mannzilo
  • Review the fit, comfort, styling, and overall presentation
  • Raise any immediate concerns or reasonable adjustment requests before leaving the premises where possible

By collecting, accepting delivery of, or taking possession of any garment, the client acknowledges and confirms that:

  • The garment has been received in satisfactory condition at the time of collection
  • The garment substantially reflects the approved design, fabric, and styling selections
  • The client has had reasonable opportunity to inspect the garment
  • The client accepts the garment as completed subject to any agreed alteration arrangements
  • Any visible concerns not raised at collection may be considered accepted

Clients further acknowledge that:

  • Bespoke garments may still require minor post-collection refinements or adjustments as part of the normal tailoring process
  • Comfort preferences and fit expectations may evolve once the garment is worn in real-life conditions
  • Minor tailoring refinements after collection do not automatically constitute manufacturing faults, defects, or major failures under the Australian Consumer Law

Once garments are collected and accepted by the client:

  • Any subsequent fit concerns, comfort refinements, or adjustment requests will generally be treated as alteration matters rather than manufacturing defects unless otherwise assessed by Mannzilo
  • Mannzilo reserves the right to inspect and assess all concerns before determining the appropriate remedy or alteration process
  • Mannzilo must be provided with a reasonable opportunity to perform further alterations or rectification work where appropriate

Clients are responsible for promptly notifying Mannzilo of any concerns after collection within a reasonable timeframe.

Mannzilo is not responsible for:

  • Changes in fit resulting from weight fluctuation or body changes after collection
  • Damage caused after collection
  • Improper garment care or dry cleaning
  • Third-party alterations or modifications
  • Wear and tear after use
  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or improper storage

Where garments are collected by:

  • A third-party representative
  • Family member
  • Friend
  • Courier service
  • Delivery provider

such collection shall be deemed acceptance by the client.

If garments are shipped or couriered at the client’s request:

  • Risk passes to the client upon dispatch
  • Mannzilo is not liable for delays, loss, or damage caused by third-party freight or courier providers

Clients are encouraged to collect garments promptly once notified that the order is ready.

Garments not collected within 90 days of notification may:

  • Incur storage fees
  • Be moved to off-site storage
  • Be considered abandoned goods under applicable Queensland legislation
  • Be disposed of in accordance with Queensland abandoned goods laws where reasonable attempts to contact the client have failed

Mannzilo reserves the right to retain garments until:

  • Outstanding balances are paid in full
  • Alteration charges are settled
  • Collection arrangements are confirmed

By collecting or accepting delivery of a garment, the client confirms acceptance of the garment and the collection terms outlined in this policy.

7. REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

At Mannzilo, all bespoke, made-to-measure, and custom garments are individually manufactured according to each client’s personal measurements, posture, styling preferences, fabric selections, and approved design specifications.

Due to the highly personalised and non-resalable nature of bespoke tailoring services, clients acknowledge and agree that strict refund and cancellation conditions apply once an order proceeds beyond the consultation and approval stage.

Clients acknowledge that significant costs are incurred throughout the bespoke process, including but not limited to:

  • Consultation and styling services
  • Body measurement and posture analysis
  • Pattern development and garment planning
  • Fabric sourcing and ordering
  • International supplier and freight costs
  • Tailoring labour and craftsmanship
  • Garment construction and fittings
  • Alteration and refinement work
  • Production scheduling and allocation of tailoring resources

Accordingly:

  • Deposits paid toward bespoke, made-to-measure, or custom garments are strictly non-refundable

Payments made toward custom garments are generally non-refundable once production, cutting, tailoring, fabric ordering, or manufacturing has commenced

  • Change-of-mind cancellations are not accepted once production has begun

Refunds are not available simply because additional fittings or tailoring refinements are required

Refunds are not available where Mannzilo remains willing and able to continue reasonable alterations, adjustments, or rectification work

Refunds are not provided due to subjective fit preferences where reasonable tailoring adjustments can still be performed

Refunds are not provided due to event postponements, cancelled weddings, travel changes, employment changes, personal circumstances, or other matters outside Mannzilo’s reasonable control

Clients further acknowledge that bespoke garments:

  • Are specifically manufactured for the individual client
  • Cannot generally be re-sold or repurposed
  • Involve irreversible cutting and tailoring processes once production commences
  • May require multiple fittings and refinements as part of the normal bespoke process

Where clients request cancellation after:

  • Fabric approval
  • Fabric ordering
  • Pattern creation
  • Measurements being completed
  • Garment cutting
  • Tailoring commencement
  • Production commencement
  • Fittings already undertaken

Mannzilo reserves the right to:

  • Retain all deposits paid
  • Refuse cancellation requests
  • Provide only a partial refund where appropriate
  • Deduct the value of work already completed

Charge for fabrics, materials, labour, tailoring time, fittings, production allocation, and administrative costs already incurred

  • Retain completed or partially completed garments until outstanding balances are resolved

Where a client abandons the tailoring process, refuses fittings, becomes unresponsive, or declines reasonable alteration opportunities offered by Mannzilo, the order shall not automatically qualify for refund.

Clients acknowledge and agree that:

  • Bespoke tailoring is an ongoing collaborative process

Minor fit refinements or post-fitting adjustments do not constitute major failures under the Australian Consumer Law

Mannzilo must first be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and rectify any concerns before any refund claim is considered

Nothing in this policy excludes any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where a verified major failure exists under the Australian Consumer Law and cannot reasonably be rectified within a reasonable timeframe, clients may be entitled to remedies available under applicable legislation.

However, the client acknowledges that:

  • Tailoring refinements are a normal part of bespoke garment production
  • Subjective dissatisfaction alone does not automatically constitute a major failure

Requests for a different fit preference after approval do not automatically entitle the client to cancellation or refund

Chargebacks, payment disputes, or recovery actions initiated without first allowing Mannzilo a reasonable opportunity to assess and rectify concerns may be formally disputed by Mannzilo together with supporting documentation, fitting history, consultation records, garment progress records, and communication history.

By proceeding with a bespoke, made-to-measure, or custom suiting order, the client confirms acceptance of this Refunds & Cancellations Policy.

8. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW (ACL) & BESPOKE GARMENT DISCLAIMER

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under:

  • The Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)
  • The Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
  • Applicable Queensland consumer protection legislation

However, clients expressly acknowledge and agree that bespoke, made-to-measure, and custom-tailored garments are highly personalised products individually manufactured according to the client’s unique body measurements, posture, styling preferences, fabric selections, and approved design specifications.

Due to the specialised and handcrafted nature of bespoke tailoring:

Multiple fittings, refinements, and alteration appointments are considered a normal and expected part of the bespoke tailoring process

Minor fit refinements, tailoring adjustments, comfort preferences, or aesthetic modifications do not constitute a “major failure” under the Australian Consumer Law

Variations in drape, feel, fit preference, fabric behaviour, and tailoring finish may naturally occur in handcrafted garments

Tailoring outcomes are partially subjective and may involve reasonable adjustment processes to achieve the final desired fit

Clients further acknowledge that:

  • Bespoke garments are fundamentally different from mass-produced retail clothing
  • A custom garment cannot be re-sold due to its personalised nature

Significant labour, consultation time, pattern work, fittings, cutting, tailoring, and material costs are incurred immediately upon commencement of production

Where a concern is raised regarding a garment, Mannzilo must be provided with a reasonable opportunity to:

  • Inspect the garment
  • Assess the concern
  • Perform reasonable alterations, rectification work, or adjustments
  • Complete any necessary tailoring refinements within a reasonable timeframe

Refund requests will not be accepted merely because:

  • Additional fittings are required
  • Minor alterations are necessary
  • A client changes personal style preferences after approval
  • A client’s body shape, posture, or weight changes
  • A client no longer wishes to proceed after production has commenced

Event dates, personal circumstances, or scheduling expectations change outside Mannzilo’s control

Under the ACL, a refund or replacement may only arise where there is a verified major failure that cannot reasonably be rectified within a reasonable period.

Where Mannzilo is willing and able to continue reasonable alteration or rectification work, the client acknowledges that this generally satisfies Mannzilo’s obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.

Any alterations or modifications performed by third parties will immediately void any further responsibility or liability by Mannzilo in relation to the garment.

Clients are strongly encouraged to attend all recommended fittings and communicate any concerns promptly during the tailoring process to ensure the best possible outcome.

9. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

At Mannzilo, bespoke tailoring is a collaborative process between the client and tailor. Achieving the best possible tailoring outcome requires accurate communication, timely attendance, and active participation throughout the consultation, fitting, alteration, and collection process.

Clients acknowledge and agree that they are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate personal details, contact information, and delivery information
  • Providing accurate body measurements where self-submitted measurements are used

Promptly informing Mannzilo of any relevant body changes, medical conditions, posture issues, or fit concerns that may affect tailoring outcomes

Attending all scheduled consultations, fittings, alteration appointments, and collection appointments on time

  • Responding to fitting requests, approvals, and communications within reasonable timeframes

Carefully reviewing garment details, fabric selections, fit preferences, and customisations before approving production

  • Promptly raising any concerns during fittings or prior to final collection

Wearing appropriate footwear, shirts, undergarments, belts, and accessories during fittings where relevant to ensure accurate tailoring and trouser length assessments

Bringing event-specific footwear or garments where required for accurate styling and fitting results

  • Following garment care instructions provided by Mannzilo

Clients acknowledge that bespoke tailoring outcomes may be impacted where:

  • Measurements are self-submitted inaccurately
  • Clients fail to attend fittings
  • Clients arrive late to appointments
  • Clients repeatedly reschedule appointments
  • Clients fail to provide timely approvals or feedback
  • Clients request significant design changes after production commencement
  • Clients experience body shape or weight changes after measurements are taken

Clients further acknowledge and accept that Mannzilo is not responsible for:

Weight fluctuations, muscle gain/loss, or body composition changes occurring after measurements are taken

  • Changes in posture, stance, or body alignment after measurements
  • Fit changes resulting from pregnancy, medical treatment, fitness training, or lifestyle changes
  • Garment damage occurring after collection or delivery
  • Improper garment storage, misuse, accidents, or excessive wear
  • Incorrect dry cleaning, washing, pressing, steaming, or garment care performed by third parties
  • Shrinkage, fabric damage, colour fading, or distortion caused by improper cleaning methods
  • Alterations, adjustments, or repairs performed by third-party tailors or alteration businesses
  • Delays caused by client unavailability, missed appointments, or failure to communicate promptly
  • Subjective dissatisfaction arising from changes in personal style preference after approval

Clients acknowledge that:

Tailoring recommendations are provided based on professional experience and craftsmanship standards

  • Final fit preferences may involve subjective personal opinions

Bespoke tailoring may require multiple fittings and reasonable alterations to achieve the intended outcome

Minor fit refinements do not constitute defective workmanship or major failure under the Australian Consumer Law

Where clients fail to comply with their responsibilities under this policy, Mannzilo reserves the right to:

  • Extend production timelines
  • Reschedule fittings or collections
  • Apply additional alteration charges
  • Decline unreasonable alteration requests
  • Limit liability for fit outcomes affected by client conduct or body changes

Clients are strongly encouraged to maintain consistent communication with Mannzilo throughout the tailoring process to ensure the best possible bespoke tailoring experience and garment outcome.

By proceeding with a bespoke, made-to-measure, or custom tailoring order, the client confirms acceptance of these client responsibilities.

LIABILITY LIMITATION

To the maximum extent permitted by law, including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Australian Consumer Law, and applicable Queensland legislation, Mannzilo limits its liability in relation to all bespoke, made-to-measure, alteration, tailoring, formalwear hire, and associated services.

Clients acknowledge and agree that bespoke tailoring is a specialised handcrafted service involving manual measuring, cutting, fitting, and garment construction processes, and that reasonable variations, refinements, and fitting adjustments form part of the normal tailoring process.

Accordingly:

Mannzilo’s total liability for any claim, dispute, or loss arising from a custom garment or tailoring service shall be strictly limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific garment or service in dispute

Mannzilo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential losses or damages of any kind

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Missed weddings, events, business meetings, graduations, photoshoots, ceremonies, or functions
  • Emotional distress, disappointment, inconvenience, reputational harm, or stress
  • Travel expenses, accommodation costs, parking, transport, or courier fees
  • Loss of income, business interruption, or commercial opportunities
  • Costs associated with replacement garments purchased elsewhere
  • Third-party tailoring or alteration costs

Delays caused by suppliers, freight companies, fabric mills, manufacturers, or external contractors

Delays arising from client rescheduling, missed appointments, late approvals, or failure to attend fittings

Fabric shortages, discontinued fabrics, customs delays, import delays, or events beyond reasonable control

Mannzilo does not guarantee:

  • Exact fit expectations based solely on subjective personal preference
  • Completion dates unless expressly confirmed in writing
  • That additional fittings or refinements will not be required
  • Exact fabric shade consistency due to natural textile variations and lighting conditions

Clients acknowledge that:

  • Human craftsmanship and tailoring involve individual hand-finishing techniques

Tailoring outcomes may vary slightly from mannequin samples, catalogue imagery, online photographs, or previous garments

Weight fluctuation, muscle gain/loss, posture changes, or body composition changes after measurements may impact final fit outcomes

Where a concern arises, Mannzilo must first be provided with a reasonable opportunity to inspect, alter, repair, or rectify the garment within a reasonable timeframe before any legal claim, chargeback request, refund demand, or third-party alteration is pursued.

Any garment altered, adjusted, repaired, cleaned, or modified by a third party without Mannzilo’s written approval immediately voids any further liability or responsibility by Mannzilo regarding that garment.

Nothing in this clause excludes any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. STORAGE & ABANDONED GARMENTS

At Mannzilo, clients are expected to collect completed garments within a reasonable timeframe after notification that the order is ready for collection.

Due to limited storage capacity and the customised nature of bespoke garments, Mannzilo cannot indefinitely store completed, partially completed, altered, or unpaid garments.

Clients acknowledge and agree that:

  • Garments remain the responsibility of the client once collection notification has been provided

Mannzilo may contact clients via phone, email, SMS, invoice system, or other available contact methods regarding collection

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure contact details remain current and accurate

Where garments remain uncollected for extended periods, Mannzilo reserves the right to apply reasonable storage and administration procedures.

Garments left uncollected for more than 90 days after notification may:

  • Incur storage fees
  • Be transferred to off-site storage facilities
  • Be subject to administrative handling charges
  • Result in delays when arranging future collection appointments

Storage fees may continue to accrue until:

  • The garment is collected
  • Outstanding balances are paid
  • Final arrangements are made with the client

Mannzilo further reserves the right to retain possession of garments where:

  • Outstanding invoices remain unpaid
  • Alteration charges are outstanding
  • Collection arrangements have not been finalised
  • The client has failed to respond to repeated communication attempts

Where garments remain uncollected for more than 6 months after reasonable collection notices have been issued, the garments may be treated as abandoned goods in accordance with applicable Queensland legislation relating to uncollected or abandoned property.

In such circumstances, Mannzilo reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to:

  • Dispose of uncollected garments
  • Donate garments
  • Destroy garments
  • Sell garments where legally permitted

Recover outstanding balances, storage costs, administrative expenses, and legal costs associated with recovery or disposal

  • Apply proceeds from any permitted sale toward unpaid amounts owing

Clients acknowledge that bespoke and made-to-measure garments are personalised products specifically manufactured for the individual client and may have little or no commercial resale value due to custom measurements, monograms, styling details, and personalised construction.

Mannzilo shall not be liable for:

  • Deterioration of garments resulting from prolonged storage
  • Creasing or fabric settling over time
  • Damage arising from the client’s failure to collect garments promptly
  • Loss associated with lawful disposal of abandoned garments
  • Inconvenience, financial loss, or emotional distress associated with abandoned goods procedures

Prior to disposal of abandoned garments, Mannzilo will make reasonable attempts to contact the client using the last known contact details provided.

Where legally required, Mannzilo may also issue written notices regarding abandoned goods and intended disposal actions.

Clients remain responsible for all outstanding balances, storage fees, alteration charges, recovery costs, and associated expenses even if garments are abandoned or disposed of in accordance with applicable law.

By proceeding with a bespoke, made-to-measure, or alteration order, the client acknowledges and accepts the storage and abandoned garments policy outlined above.

12. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By paying a deposit, making full or partial payment, placing an order, booking or attending a consultation, submitting measurements, approving fabrics or design selections, participating in fittings, requesting alterations, accepting delivery, or collecting any garment, the client acknowledges and confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by Mannzilo Custom Suiting Policy, Terms of Service, and associated business policies.

The client further acknowledges and agrees that:

Bespoke and made-to-measure garments are highly personalised products specifically manufactured to the client’s individual measurements, posture, styling preferences, and approved specifications

Significant labour, consultation time, tailoring work, pattern development, material sourcing, and production costs are incurred immediately upon commencement of the order

Multiple fittings, refinements, and reasonable alterations are an expected and normal part of the bespoke tailoring process

Production timelines provided by Mannzilo are estimates only and may vary depending on tailoring requirements, fabric availability, supplier delays, client availability, and production scheduling

Minor fit adjustments, tailoring refinements, and subjective styling preferences do not constitute a major failure under the Australian Consumer Law

Mannzilo must be provided with a reasonable opportunity to assess and rectify any concerns before refunds, chargebacks, legal claims, or disputes are initiated

The client agrees that any verbal discussions, fitting notes, email communications, invoices, quotations, online purchases, payment receipts, appointment attendance records, collection of garments, or approval of designs may be relied upon by Mannzilo as evidence of acceptance of these terms and the continuation of the bespoke tailoring process.

Where a client authorises production to commence, approves fabrics or customisations, or proceeds beyond the initial consultation stage, the client acknowledges that:

  • Materials may be specially ordered
  • Tailoring work may commence immediately
  • Production resources are allocated specifically to the client’s garment
  • Refund eligibility may be limited due to the custom nature of the product

The client further acknowledges that no employee, stylist, tailor, consultant, contractor, or representative of Mannzilo has authority to waive or vary these terms unless confirmed in writing by authorised management.

By proceeding with any bespoke or made-to-measure order, the client expressly accepts these terms voluntarily and acknowledges that they have had reasonable opportunity to review the policy prior to proceeding with the order.
